In pristine condition, this abstract of a small baby on a blanket is adorable in its old look, and yet very clean with not even a frayed corner. Opening the lavender front inside is the inscription, in a classic art deco font:
“Such fairy hands, such dimpled feet, Such blushing posies in each cheek, Such winsome ways, such laughter too, God Bless your child and God bless you”.
Monogrammed on the back
“10-1213 Copyright Ernest Dudley Chase, Quinton(?) USA” No envelope.

-- Ernest Dudley Chase enjoyed making pictorial maps; it was a hobby that spanned over three decades, became a small business, and produced over 50 unique, art-like-maps, now on display at the Harvard Map Collection. The new exhibit, Greetings from Winchester: The Pictorial Maps of Ernest Dudley Chase, explores the creative, humorous, and intensely detailed works that Chase created in the last three decades of his life…Although focusing primarily on Chase’s cartographic publications, the exhibit also features graphite and ink drawings, his annual Winchester calendars, travel journals, greeting cards, and marketing material
