LOT: 5 vintage 50’s Prescription Pill Boxes: Picture shows 6 but there are only 5 left
These vintage boxes are from “Medical Arts Drug Co: Personalized Service” Complete with phone # and from Wenatchee Washington. They are a flip lid cardboard boxes, (before the child locks!), and complete with the prescriptions labels typed on the inside. They are dated from 1955 to 1959. Dr Congdon is the prescribing doctor and the patient is Walter Kennedy on these 5 boxes.
They all have the prescription #’s and dosages, all very clearly typed out in red and green ink.
3 have the original cotton batting (I assume for protection, as a spacer, and/or to absorb moisture) and 3 do not. They measure 2x3x.75
The medications were all “for pain” but the name of the drug or amounts, apparently were not necessary for the patient to know about…(“just take 2 and call me in the morning!”).
They are in excellent condition. One of the boxes has the patients initials inked on the top of the box “WDK”.
The colors and design are classic 50’s (cream and maroon and cream and green).
